Integration in Andalusia
It must show proof of its commitment to the Andalusian environment through its relationship with local employees, suppliers or customers, as well as through the exchange of knowledge, experience and capabilities of their members of staff.
It must coexist efficiently with the language and cultural differences of the country of origin and the local customs.
Innovation Award
The company must be committed to the design, development and production of new products, services and/or management or manufacture processes.
The eligible sectors may vary from a very broad range: e-commerce, multimedia, Internet technologies, software, hardware, Web sites, wireless, to name a few categories. It must go beyond marginal improvements in existing products and services and should break with conventional processes. In short, from any field as long as there's some connection with innovation.
The innovation factor must be backed up by a solid business plan, which means that they should be already or about to become viable.
Business Promotion of Andalusia
The company must be focused in providing a new idea of Andalusia beyond the clichés of just sun, beach and golf. It should be showing a more realistic image covering all aspects of life in our region.
It must support and promote a wide range of social, economic and environmental activities within the whole region. Its target customers must be both visitors and/or residents of any nationalities in Andalusia.
Association Award
The association must be making an outstanding contribution to the improvement of their associates’ companies by providing them with updated information on any matters related to their business development. It must foster excellence programs to upgrade their associate’s companies, training programs, information forums, meetings and any other tools which may contribute to the consolidation and growth of their business.
It must work as a networking platform where new business opportunities are launched.
Young Entrepreneur
It could be any individual or group of partners under the age of 40 running a company or developing a business project.
It must highlight Andalusia's best and brightest young entrepreneur with an innovative spirit and the best business acumen.
The company or project must rely on a detailed business plan describing the activity, the analysis of all areas of the existing or future company and demonstrate the business viability.
Company of the Year
The company must demonstrate excellence within its industry or activity, by showing the added value which is making difference compared to its competitors.
It must show overall market potential for the company’s services and products, proof of success as established by company growth, viability, strategic innovation and leadership in its field.
It must consider the interests of society by taking responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, suppliers, employees, communities and the environment. This obligation is seen to extend beyond the statutory obligation to comply with legislation, taking voluntarily further steps to improve the quality of life for employees and their families as well as for the local community and society at large.
Applications for the 2011 Costa del Sol Business Awards will be closed at 2 pm on 13 October 2011.
The Event will take place on October 27th, at the Palacio de Congresos de Marbella at 16:30.
