Alberto de Azevedo chaired the third edition of the Costa del Sol Business Awards, created by CADE Marbella and supported by the Malaga Chamber of Commerce and the International Department of Unicaja. The purpose was to honour the effort of the foreign residents living and doing businesses in Costa del Sol.

The event was celebrated at Los Monteros Hotel and around 300 people attended. It was opened by the director of Unicaja International, Jose Pose, and the president of CIT Marbella, Miguel Gomez, acting on behalf of the Malaga Chamber of Commerce.

During the opening ceremony the importance of having created an event of such characteristics was highlighted. The main objective was to thank the foreign community for the contribution that they are doing to the Costa del Sol society on the one side, and on the other, to channel the connection between the Andalusian Government and the foreign business people, helping them to start up new businesses and exchange their experience.

The actual Awards Ceremony was be preceded by informative presentations by the Marketing Director of CWA Internet Advertising, Markus Wolfel, winner of last year's Company of the Year and guest speaker Brenda Padilla, expert on corporate communication skills.
